Resurrection, 2024
Resurrection is a procession made with discarded props and stage sets found in the depot of Graz theaters. Leftovers from other cultural productions, the props were originally created to represent nature on stages background. These trees, stones, flowers, and clouds usually disappear into storage, waiting to be thrown away. Soon to become waste, the objects exist in a liminal space, in between culture and nature, past and future.
In a fictional ritual, a choir carries these objects from the church to the city park, singing a song about labor, exhaustion and regeneration.
